Air Humidity in Museums
Almost all towns document their local history in small museums. In contrast, huge museums such as the Louvre in Paris, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the British Museum in London draw five to ten million visitors every year. The countless, often unique and irreplaceable exhibits on display here are valued at many billions of euros and must therefore be protected from any possible damage, including, in particular, environmental influences at all times.
Permanent 24-hour protection requires a special climate with appropriate temperatures and humidity. This brochure deals with such air-conditioning systems and especially with the very important aspect of humidity control in museum air.
