Humidification for the automotive industry

To achieve optimum results, paintwork must be applied to vehicles in optimum environmental conditions. Crucially, humidity and temperature must meet the requirements of the materials, and work processes must be perfectly coordinated with each other.

Humidity regulation plays a key role here. This is the only way to ensure that the individual paint coats applied quickly can dry evenly, so the vehicle acquires the required shine.

Car spraying plants

A relative humidity of 70% is recommended for the transfer of paint from the spraying system to the car body. Correct humidification prevents the water content in the paint from evaporating and thus ensures homogeneous and even paint application.

Reducing moisture evaporation from the paint also reduces the amount of paint dust that is introduced to the spray booth.
