Benefits

Stable relative humidity prevents paint from drying too fast or too slow and ensures a better levelling, reduced orange peel, and consistent colour tone across batches.

Superior paint quality

Maintaining stable RH ensures flawless finishes, prevent defects and delivers consistent colour and coating performance across all production conditions.

Reduce rework, waste, and downtime

Optimised moisture levels minimise paint booth faults, cut rework by reducing defects, and create smoother, more efficient spraying operations.

Coating stability

Humidity regulation eliminates seasonal variation, ensures predictable curing, and keeps surface-finishing quality high every day of the year.

Improved paint flow, finish quality and colour consistency

Proper humidity minimises dust attraction, static charge buildup, overspray issues, and surface imperfections. The result: fewer defects such as blushing, cracking, peeling, or poor adhesion.

Better environmental and worker conditions and consistent process conditions year-round

An optimal humidity level, limits volatile organic compound (VOC) evaporation and improves air quality. It creates a more comfortable and safer working environment. Additionally it eliminates seasonal variations that can affect drying and curing.

V-ZUG, Switzerland

As a manufacturing company for household appliances for kitchens and laundry rooms, V-ZUG has a dual impact on the environment: they design appliances to be as efficient in use as possible, and they produce these appliances with maximum resource efficiency and minimal emissions.

The new Zephyr Hangarœ building at the Zug site houses a new sawtooth-roof structure that includes the pressing facility, where manufactured parts are also enameled. These production processes generate large amounts of waste heat, resulting in extremely dry indoor air, which in winter can drop to just 10 percent relative humidity. This presents a major challenge for the comfort of employees and the wood-intensive building, as the wooden structure requires a minimum humidity level of 30 percent relative humidity. Additionally, this situation poses a significant challenge for sustainable cooling.

This is where Condair comes into play! The solution involves Condair˜s high-pressure nozzle system,
ML-FLEX, with 152 nozzles providing a nethumidification capacity of approximately 280 liters per hour and a simultaneous, calculated evaporative cooling effect of 16 Kelvin, meaning the room air is sustainably cooled from around 38 degree centigrade to approximately 22 degree centigrade during the humidification process.

Ferrari, Maranello, Italy

Ferrari™s historic headquarters in Maranello was modernized in 2010 with advanced production facilities, including a high-tech wind tunnel and hybrid engine test stand. Condair™s resistance steam humidifiers ensure precise humidity control, supporting the development of Ferrari™s next generation of high-performance sports cars.

The Condair RS steam humidifiers boast patented limescale management which prevents permanent deposition of limescale on heater rods. Limestone crusts are successively detached and removed from the steam cylinder into the limescale collection vessel. Limestone management ensures extremely short waiting times and a long life.
The innovative control system fitted with a touch display ensures outstanding transparency of function and precise steam delivery. The units are the result of decades of experience and they define the state of the art in modern steam humidification.

Dulux Acratex

Dulux, a large global paint and coatings manufacturer, required a resistive steam humidifier at a manufacturing facility for roofing coatings. Maintaining the optimal humidity level is critical for manufacturing processes. This ensures that the product is manufactured to the specification that is required without having to worry whether dry or cold outdoor environmental conditions could negatively affect shelf life or product performance while in the facility. Optimised humidification also significantly lowers the risk of static during production.
