Humidification for Dannemann Cigar Factory
With a total area of 16,000 m², the cigarillo production is located in the East Westphalian city of Lübbecke. More than 200 employees produce brands such as MOODS and Al Capone. For an optimal production process, from the storage and processing of tobacco to the mechanical packaging of the end products, a DRAABE air humidification system controls the individually required humidity values.
Quality assurance
For more than 20 years, air humidification has been an important part of quality assurance at Dannemann. ""Humidity is very important for our cigarillo production so that the tobacco remains supple and can be processed to a high standard,"" explains Andreas Steinmann from building management. Tobacco leaves, cut tobacco and paper are hygroscopic materials that release their moisture into the environment when the air is too dry. This can affect the properties of the raw materials deteriorate, which can lead to shrinkage, weight loss, brittleness, flaking or cracking. The additional humidity guarantees standardised quality with optimum inherent humidity of the cigarillos.
Air humidification for every application
More than 60 humidifiers in five different device variants are in use at Dannemann to optimally humidify high warehouses, winding production areas and rooms with high machine density.
